this family run bus and coach business was established in 1979 and provides services across the whole of the north of england and uk.

the company is based two operational depots, one based at the head office in chadderton, oldham. the other in carrington, manchester.

about the role

as a reservations agent, you will be responsible for soliciting and managing reservations for both depots.

you will serve as one of the first line of inquiry for coach travel reservations offering excellent customer service, options, and other solutions to meet client and customer needs.

specifically, a reservations agent will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

convert, quickly, inquiries into contracted business
respond, positively, to sales inquiries to develop future sales leads identify sales leads, as appropriate
respond to all customers in a highly professional manner, including ensuring all reservations are completed accurately and to expectation
provide prompt and efficient service while maintaining standards

you will ensure a high level of service throughout the sales and reservations process, through to co-ordination with operations, and other departments

the reservations agent will also support the sales department with day-to-day tasks including supporting the sports and events team in handling and building groups that form part of more complex events and tours.

excellent written and spoken communication skills.
ability and desire to provide a professional customer focused service at all times.
efficient, organised and diligent with the ability to prioritise workload.
strong it skills - other travel booking systems being an advantage.
pro-active with the ability to work autonomously and effectively as part of a team.
strong literacy and numeracy skills.
flexible approach with an ability to adapt to changing priorities.
retail travel or tour operator experience is an advantage

hours:

monday to friday 9 to 5.00 & every other saturday (with a day off in the week)
