Live-in/out gardener - united kingdom, haywards heath, west sussex
our client is seeking an experienced and passionate full-time gardener to join their household team at their home near wakehurst place, west sussex and one day per week maintaining their london flat and terrace. the estate in west sussex is around 120 acres – with just under one acre of this as formal lawns, terrace and swimming pool.
accommodation can be provided on site or if local, the gardener can live off site.
duties include, but not limited to:
general gardening duties, planting, pruning, weeding etc
mowing the lawn
dealing with external contractors
liaising with local farmers
swimming pool maintenance
power washing paved and terraced areas
candidate requirements:
good use and basic maintenance of garden machinery
general handyman skills
additional details on the role to be provided at interview stage
driving licence is essential
one day a week the candidate will be required to travel to south east london to work at the property there. travel costs will be covered
no dependants please
days/hours of work: monday to friday. 8 hours per day.
accommodation: a beautiful 2-bedroom cottage on the estate, with private garden. a partner would be welcome, along with a small pet.
salary: live-in, £28,000 live-out, £30,000
start date: asap
