Pharmacist - per diem - united states, charleston (west virginia)
adecco medical & science has partnered with a major pharmacy chain to hire per diem pharmacists for their locations through-out west virginia!
requirements include:
pharmacy degree and current state-specific pharmacy license.
cpr/first aid certification.
apha pharmacy-based immunization delivery or equivalent.
6-months pharmacy customer service experience
minimum 21 years of age (travels for business purposes).
valid drivers license.
additional information:
essential job functions include:
review prescriptions issued by healthcare providers to assure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients needed.
compound medications, using standard formulas and processes, such as weighing, measuring and mixing ingredients.
verify new medication against existing medication and patient profile to ensure that there are no drug-drug or drug-disease interactions prior to filling prescription.
verify the work of the pharmacy technicians and pharmacy assistants, including accuracy of all prescriptions filled.
provide information to pharmacy customers regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage and storage of pharmaceuticals.
maintain established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances and disposal of hazardous waste drugs.
maintain pharmacy files, charge system and inventory/order medications.
administer immunizations as allowed by the state boards of pharmacy.
advise and counsel customers about their medicines, provides knowledge of medication uses and side effects, evaluates all prescriptions as to appropriateness.
interact with physicians regarding patient concerns on behalf of patients.
protect customer information in accordance with state and federal pharmacy laws including hipaa law and corporate standards.
