location: onsite south san francisco
duration: 12 month contract
pay rate: $40/hour
responsibilities for this scientific lab position include:
execute existing protocols for the production of drug delivery devices using a combination of chemical and mechanical fabrication methods. provide high-quality finished products in a timely manner in order to ensure r&d schedules are met.
work with r&d personnel to fine tune processes as required to improve yields, quality, etc.
inspect and perform quality control of drug delivery devices using analytical instrumentation to characterize dimenions, payload, decomposition profile, etc. generating documentation on fabrication runs that can be used to control traceability and ensure reproducibility.
follow established procedures in order to maintain a clean and organized environment.
other assignments as requested.
qualifications for this lab tech position include:
2-3 years’ experience in a medical device rnd or manufacturing environment.
demonstrated experience with assembling small parts.
experience with casting, molding, or compression processes.
familiarity with mechanical fabrication and rapid prototyping (laser cutting, 3d printing).
hands-on experience with analytical equipment: inspection microscopes, hplc, uv/vis.
experience with chemistry fundamentals: dilutions, concentration series, etc.
