you will need to:

have a valid uk driving licence

pass a group 2 medical

undertake a (dbs) criminal record check

ensure vehicle is kept in a safe & convenient location

be able to drive a company supplied vehicle which ranges from cars, eight-seater people carriers and larger wheelchair accessible vehicles (all can be driven on a car licence)

be 25 years and over

school transport drivers perform a valuable role in the community, transporting children and young adults to and from school and educational centres. this is a highly rewarding role; our drivers are our lifeline for families across the uk

the 24x7 group is one of the largest independently run companies in the uk, transporting over 4,000 children a day, delivering contracted special needs education transport for local authorities

your role

• transport special needs (sen) or vulnerable children and adults to and from school, college, or day care centres

• to work in an effective, safe, flexible manner and support the operation of the company

• to quickly establish positive and professional relationships with passengers, their carers / parents, and the key people at the establishments they attend.

you will be required to work monday-friday usually mornings and afternoons during term times. your day will normally be starting in time to complete a school run in the morning and again in the afternoon. our minimum working hours are 12.5 hours per week with some routes exceeding 25 hours (average 18 hours per week subject to the route you are allocated).
