a full time, live in couple are required for a private home near andover, hampshire.
one part of the couple to be housekeeper/cook, the other part of the couple to be driver/butler/maintenace. they have three gardeners on the property in addition.
to work in a traditional, formal british household. the couple must have had previous private household experience and really enjoy this type of work. longevity on cv in previous jobs is essential. the couple must be adaptable - a routined household, and the couple must be happy to work like this. previous experience working in large private households with antiques and fine artwork is essential, and you must be able to get on well working in a team with other household staff. discretion and professional manner important.

the family are looking for a couple who will stay with them for a long time.
days and hours of work are: 5 days a week with tuesday and wednesday as days off. the principals are in residence from friday lunch time to monday lunch time. hours are: 8am – 5-6pm when the principals are not there and 7:30 am – 9:30 pm when they are there with 3-4 hours off in the afternoon (longer in the summer as they days are longer) when the principals are there.
accommodation is provided: cottage with sitting room, dining room, kitchen, two bedrooms and a bathroom + garden. the couple are able to leave the property on their days off, but must always sleep at the property (other than their holiday).
there is a car available for work purposes, but to own car to use for days off preferred.
holiday allowance: 4 weeks plus bank holidays (to be taken at the same time as the holiday as the principals are usually in premises most bank holidays).
no travelling required.
the principals are always out of residence from second week of january to beginning of february, again for the whole month of march and again 6 weeks in the summer, from mid-july to end of august / beginning of september. during that time, the couple would have to make sure the house is clean/looked after etc. but working hours would obviously be shorter.
£50,000 net per person plus accommodation provided.
