position: class a test driver – off road
available schedules: day, swing, graveyard
pay rate: $24.00 - $26.75
responsibilities/duties:
off-road drivers test vehicle durability utilizing a variety of terrain features on a closed course track.
tests and examines trucks, to determine repairs required
drive truck, noting performance of parts, such as clutch, gears, and brakes.
examine body and fenders of vehicle for scratches and dents.
report findings to supervisor and recommend repairs required.
test drivers assess vehicle performance for manufacturers
test factors such as steering, braking and handling
personal qualities
truck test drivers must have the confidence to drive under demanding conditions.
they must be able to follow instructions from supervisors and provide accurate feedback and informed opinions on vehicle performance.
drivers must have the physical and mental stamina to test vehicles for extended periods under a variety of conditions.
experience/qualifications:
0-3 yrs. experience (new class a drivers encouraged to apply)
must be able to drive automatic and manual transmissions
must be able to drive trucks and tractor trailer combinations
current and valid class a driver's license
current dot medical certificate
good driving record
