job type: deputy manager hours: 40 hours per week salary: gbp19.00 per hour (negotiable) location: wolverhampton about the company thisis a family run business that was founded in the 1980 s with just one residential care home. over the past three decades we have rapidly expanded our family of care homes and now have facilities in some of the most beautiful, relaxing surroundings in england. select healthcare offer services such as; a brain injury unit, mental health care, respite care, residential care and much more. about the home this care home, is a 55-60 bed service, specialising in the care of people with enduring mental health needs. the service is divided into 4 manageable size units each with their own specialism. the service has continually achieved good in its cqc inspections, outstanding in its ipc audits and has won awards for its person centred care. about the role you will lead a team of senior carers, care assistants and other departments within the home, liaise with professionals and relatives and ensure in-house and regulatory documentation is completed to a high standard. our deputy manager must have excellent knowledge and understanding of care and management responsibilities, knowledge of safeguarding, medication and cqc. must have got leadership and effective management skills. skills and experience key responsibilities able to lead a team of senior and care assistants and efficiently run a shift willing to work on the floor alongside staff able to complete staffing rotas with support from the home manager completion of assessments for new residents able to complete supervisions with staff knowledge of cqc and inspections medication trained able to complete competencies with staff complete in-house and regulatory documentation to a high standard liaise with professionals, relatives and advocates the ideal candidate nmc registered previous experience working as a deputy manager within a mental health nursing home is essential
