this is a full-time role, working monday - friday all year round. salary: £19,305 per annum. our client is a real living wage employer.

you will play a key and much-loved role in their nursery! please see the full job description for more details, but your work will include:

planning a 4-week rotating and seasonal menu for children within the nursery catering for all dietary needs including specific food allergies and sensitivities, and provision that reflects the cultural diversity of the community.

preparing, cooking and serving tasty and nutritious meals and snacks for the nursery to the highest possible standard, and meeting health and safety policies and hygiene requirements.

using the catering resources efficiently, including managing within the allocated monthly budget, stock management and keeping food wastage to a minimum.

working towards and achieve the agreed key performance indicators and performance objectives and ensure a high level of service is provided at all times.

our client needs you to bring experience working in a busy kitchen environment, planning menus, dealing with allergens and dietary requirements and purchasing food products and equipment. they will also look for appropriate qualifications or training in food hygiene, health & safety and dietary planning for the age groups they cover. if you do not have a first aid qualification, you may be required to achieve this (our client will provide the training).
