we are looking for a part-time nanny to take care of our two girls, ages 10 months and 2.5 years. both parents work full time and so we are looking for someone to take sole charge of the girls while we are at work. responsibilities would include: - preparing food and feeding all three meals (including some bottle feeding and helping to introduce more solid foods to the baby) -changing nappies and supporting our toddler with using the potty -putting the baby down for naps and helping keep both girls on a good schedule -planning outings and activities for both girls -transporting girls to any classes or activities that we have signed them up for -assisting mum/dad at the end of the day to help get the girls ready for bed -upholding expectations around behaviour, responsibilities, etc (especially with our toddler!) -helping to keep the house tidy (putting dishes in the dishwasher, clearing up toys or activities, putting dirty clothes in the laundry room so they can be washed) we are looking for someone who is creative and not afraid to take the girls on outings and try new things, as well as someone who is able to calmly hold the line with our very strong willed toddler. our toddler is full of energy. she loves to sing, play with her teddies, do puzzles, narrate every aspect of her day, aggressively hug her sister, go to the park, and watch the toy story films. she knows exactly what she wants and has no problem telling you that. the baby is a bit more laid back. she likes being part of the conversation and will happily sit on someone’s lap if she has a toy to occupy her. she loves to smile and give hugs and kisses (mostly to mum at this point). neither girl has any allergies, although both have pretty sensitive skin and the toddler has eczema that pops up every once in awhile so we tend to use specific products on their skin. both mum and dad work full time so when we are home with the kids we try to take full advantage. mum loves taking the girls out for walks and play dates in the park, and dad loves to build things (towers, blocks, legos, etc..), and play music with the girls. mum is definitely the strict parent who loves a good routine, dad is more go with the flow and comes up with all the best games. we would both describe ourselves as pragmatic parents.
