shiva hotels has an opening available for a reservation/group agent-shared service.

we are looking for a full time reservations / groups agent to join our team, within the shared service centre revenue. based at the shared service centre, as reservation/group agent you will be responsible for reservations / group bookings across all shiva hotels.

your duties will include:

proactively selling to maximise revenue and guest satisfaction by receiving room reservations
contributing to achieving maximum occupancy for all hotels by assisting in maintaining effective inventory control.
handling all reservations and group sales enquiries efficiently and professionally.
ensuring that all reservations are inputted in the system efficiently, accurately and in a timely manner.
maximising customer satisfaction and hotel revenue by promoting the hotel’s other services and facilities to guests.

the ideal candidate will have the following skills:

previous experience in a similar role or as a hotel receptionist
an excellent command of the english language, both written and spoken
professional and warm personality
exceptional customer care skills
empathy for your colleagues
ability to work under pressure
pride and attention to detail in your work
the finest personal presentation
strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate with everyone.

if you can demonstrate the following skills, that would be an advantage:

knowledge and use of protel or protel air pms system and delphi reservations system
experience working with onq pms system and hilton hotels.
experience of fits and otas

reporting to the group revenue manager, this role is full-time (40-hours) per week, working to a flexible rota (on occasion weekends and evenings) with a 30-minute break included.
