live music venue qt has an opportunity available for a floor staff – waiter/waitress in our late-night basement bar, qt.

your duties will include:

running a section at the qt, looking after orders and delivering food and drinks
demonstrating knowledge of food menus and beverages
handling all guest requests efficiently and professionally
delivering a high standard of cleanliness
planning and arranging the seating plan for the day;
preparing the floor prior to the shows (ice buckets, glasses, menus and lamps);
opening the doors, meeting, greeting and seating each individual booking (one at a time);
cloak room management (creation of the tags used, arranging and keeping the cloak room clean and in order;
the collection of the cloaks and bags, and returning to the guests at the end of their visit;
print bills and help to take the payments;
close all the bills;
reset the floor for the next show;
end of the night clean the floor and prepare for the next day.

the ideal candidate will have the following skills:

great communication skills and can connect with people easily;
approachable and has the desire to challenge themselves within a professional team;
good organisational skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment

your hours of work:

reporting to events manager, the role is full-time, 40-hours per week. working to a flexible rota with a 30-minute break included. the venue is open every day from 4pm till 1 am and on saturday and sunday from 4pm to midnight. never early shifts!
