we are looking for a barista, with panache and flair, who has a passion and knowledge for all things coffee related!

job purpose and responsibilitiesthe purpose of the job is to prepare and serve hot and cold drinks ensuring all standards of operation are followed and service expectations are exceeded and through the promotion of knowledge, expertise and personality, incredible experiences are created for everyone.

your duties will include:

taking orders and preparing hot and cold drinks using a variety of equipment, including coffee grinder and coffee machine with steam wand.
exceptional guest care, ensuring all guests are welcomed with a friendly, professional greeting.
ensuring all duties on the department checklists are completed, including health and safety checks and opening and closing procedures.
working with the dedicated, dynamic f&b team in the creation of exceptional guest experiences showing extra-ordinary initiative at all times.

the ideal candidate will have the following key talents/skills:

minimum of 1 years' experience as a barista in a high street coffee shop, restaurant or hotel.
experience in using coffee equipment including steam wand and grinder settings.
exceptional knowledge of hot beverage preparation and variety of hot and cold beverages.
delivery of consistent hot beverages made to 5* standards.
ability to work unsupervised to deliver consistent and prompt quality beverages to the agreed standard.

if you can demonstrate the following skills that would be an advantage:

speciality coffee training accredited by beverage service association or equivalent.
strong operational and technical knowledge such as latte art and perfect serves.
food and beverage operations in the luxury hotel environment.

your hours of work:reporting to the bars manager, working 5 out of 7 days, to a flexible rota with a 30-minute break included
