adecco is looking for a material operations manager to work as a contractor in a fortune 500 r&d facility located in mason, ohio.  this r&d facility is a global leader within the beauty care industry.  this position is a critical role in the oversight of raw material flow to meet customer production standards.  they will have responsibility of 16-20 chemical dispensers and stagers during mon-fri, 7:30a – 4:00p, or as needed.  the successful candidate will have a “can do, hands on” attitude, professional demeanor, and the ability to motivate and encourage innovation with the team.

people management is an essential portion of the job along with strong technical skills.  the ability to analyze data for comparison and for reporting is a “must have” expertise.  this role is key to collaborating with the customer on any outages or concerns that might prevent business moving forward.  safety and quality must be first and foremost with all processes and work direction adhering to appropriate sops, gmp and qa and safety expectations.  all this includes working with a sense of urgency.  as a contractor, you are a w2 employee with adecco working onsite with the customer.  there is no end date.

responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • coordinates and expedites flow of materials, packaging and consumables between sections or department according to production and shipping schedules.
  • collaborates with customer personnel and site lead on all operations and expectations.
  • arranges in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules.
  • reviews and triages material documentation and systems at facility to verify conformance to specifications.
  • aids in final resolutions of any outage from receiving, buying, dispensing, and missing documentation (coa/sds).
  • manages team members on work schedule, call offs, vacation, disciplinary actions, job specific trainings, site specific trainings and day-to-day activities and guidance.
  • responds to all emails involving research and material availability along with purchase requests.
  • reviews and manages production queue to establish priorities or troubleshoot.
  • provides safety checks in warehouse and equipment such as forklifts, waves, pallet jacks.
  • performs team member evaluations and one-on-one   engagement along with counseling and coaching.
  • maintains high customer service levels with the customer.

    qualifications:

  • must have 3+ years supervisory experience in a production capacity
  • must have strong excel skills – will be subject to assessment
  • must be competent with outlook, powerpoint, sharepoint, teams
  • nice to have chemical raw material knowledge
  • bachelor’s degree preferred or applicable experience
  •
