adecco medical & science is assisting a top client in the pharmaceutical industry in recruiting for a scientist i in cambridge, ma. this is a 12- month contract assignment.

job summary:
perform and interpret cell-based functional assays using primary human immune cells to assess the efficacy of tools in biologically relevant systems. routinely use flow cytometry, high content imaging, rt-pcr, msd and others to evaluate pathway engagement and target efficacy in vitro/ ex vivo. author protocols and reports and keep meticulous laboratory notebook records of experiments and documentation. work collaboratively with other functional areas to provide deliverables. follow company procedures with respect to lab safety, data quality and information security.
education qualifications
work experience in pharmaceutical laboratory or master's degree/graduate degree in science (e.g. pharmaceutical sciences, phamacology, immunology or similar) or ph.d. in immunology or immuno-oncology with research experience involving immunology techniques.
experience:
comfort independently using analytical flow cytometry to 20 colors is required and experience with spectral cytometry is a plus. ability to analyze proteins using protein simple or western blots is preferred. good communication skills (verbal and written), analytical skills, and general presentation skills are required. experience utilizing microsoft office, flowjo software and graphpad prism is critical. experience participating in teams and collaborative work environments is preferred. years of experience: 0 - 3 years post graduate degree.
