this is your opportunity as either an entry level test engineer or experience senior test engineer to be part of a rapidly evolving advance market of future technologies. my client is the world leader in micro gas turbines, a new generation of green and efficient power unit. with its unique expertise and technology, the company is pioneering efforts to bring this breakthrough solution to volume production. we are looking to hire a test engineer to join our team who can be developed in all aspects of the role. you will work autonomously and as part of our high achieving team. the test engineer will be responsible for performing system and subsystem level testing on our clients unique gas turbine driven electrical generator. you will engage in a variety of r&d and v&v testing to support new product introduction and subsystem testing. ideally, you will have experience in calibration, installation and utilising instrumentation and daq systems the key responsibilities within the role are: performing a variety of testing on microturbine gensets including performance testing o endurance and reliability testing customer validation testing, such as testing the interaction of our product with customer equipment research and development into new product introductions, and solutions to problems, cost down, product improvement etc product investigations fault finding and diagnoses of problems actively participating in design improvement proposals managing data, configuration details and results in a highly organised manner writing detailed technical test reports participation in development of new equipment and facilities what we re looking for: 2:1 hons degree a specialist area of engineering- ideally electronic/electrical control related field. experience in a role with test experience or exposure. a good all-round background is sought as this is primarily a full system level role. can demonstrate general software knowledge. a desire for hands on work, and to collaborate within a highly qualified and driven team. a genuine passion for engineering. this will be explored during the interview. strong communication skills verbally and written in english
