our trade marketing manager role provides a unique opportunity for an experienced and talented b2b marketing professional to join our uk and ireland team based in norton canes, cannock. with challenge and autonomy from day one, you will explore the dynamics of our product manufacturing and franchise business model. gone are the days of being chained to your desk, you'll use your inquisitive nature and outstanding communication skills when you get out and about building solid working relationships with our franchisees, gaining valuable commercial insights and feedback to optimise their business performance.

you will work closely with our uk managing director to shape our future marketing strategy; devising and delivering the annual marketing plan, driving change and leading your team to achieve their objectives. with opportunities to showcase your knowledge of trade marketing tools and techniques, energy and drive (we run at 100mph!) and positive team spirit, you can look forward to making a real difference and bringing the autosmart brand to life in this dynamic and hands-on role.

our trade marketing manager will:

• be hands on with day-to-day marketing activity; leading marketing projects, writing project briefs, copywriting for product launches and training material and providing technical expertise

• proactively establish market research channels with franchisees, customers and internal stakeholders

• lead the implementation and progress of the marketing plan to optimise future retail activities

• run focus groups and feedback workshops to get the best out of our product range

• identify, analyse and report market trends to further develop the marketing plan

• manage autosmart's brand standards ensuring consistency across all channels

• embrace creativity whilst leading and developing your team to deliver exceptional performance

our trade marketing manager will have:

• previous experience in a traditional b2b trade marketing environment

• a solid understanding of marketing principles with knowledge in all aspects of the marketing mix (communications, product launch activities, market research, digital)

• collaborated with sales teams, distribution/franchise partners and end user customers

• a willingness to challenge the status quo and drive change

• project management skills

• a degree or equivalent in a relevant subject (marketing/business)

• a formal marketing qualification

• full uk valid driving licence

• a passion for all things automotive (advantageous however not essential)
