project overview:

  • we are seeking a program manager to perform various project management support for our environmental health and safety team.
  •  

    overall responsibilities:

  • demonstrate traits and qualities of a program manager: organized, detail oriented, and great communication skills. 
  • strong project management skills such as project planning, status reporting, timeline estimation, issue tracking, meeting facilitation, and process documentation. 
  • define project scope and objectives.
  • align resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
  • prepare project budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
  • monitor project/program costs in order to meet budget
  • develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
  • provide project/program updates on a regular basis on project/program progress and kpis
  • utilize industry best practices throughout the project lifecycle
  • develop visuals & content needed for recurrent leadership/stakeholder presentations. aggregate data/information.
  •  

    top 3 daily responsibilities:

  • gather weekly and monthly updates from cross-functional stakeholders to keep project trackers up to date. prepare visuals and content for regular project/program updates. 
  • maintain project/program progress trackers
  • independently manage parts or the whole lifecycle of defined project scopes. 
  •  

    required skills:

  • 3-5 years experience in project management
  • strong communication skills (verbal and written) 
  • detailed oriented and ability to work independently
  • experience designing, documenting, implementing and optimizing workflows. 
  • proven analytical skills in rationalizing and prioritizing information from many different sources.
  • demonstrated ability to apply business judgment and customer empathy to interpreting product requests. 
  • ability to create and deliver clear executive-level communications with ability to tailor messages to different internal and external audiences. 
  • distinctive problem solving skills and ability to pivot as fast as business needs require.
  • ability to (and excitement to) achieve results in a fast-paced, ambiguous and often-changing environment.
  •  

    nice to have skills: 

  • environmental health and safety
  • ba/bs degree in business management
