role description
the customer renewal specialist undertakes to call existing customers to secure the maintenance renewal of that customer. they are very customer and target driven and work to build and maintain relationships with customers through regular contact by email and phone.
this role requires mainly telephone and email communications, and the candidate should expect to be making a high volume of calls per day.
responsibilities:
- engage with customers before their renewal dates via phone and email,
- hold anniversary calls with customers to identify business opportunities or red flag account concerns,
- own the renewal lifecycle processes, key business flows, and their documentation (this includes; getting quotes from vendors, raising quotes, chasing purchase orders, etc.),
- handle customer objections and drive towards a successful resolution of assigned renewals,
- work in collaboration with the sales team to leverage the renewal with their sales opportunities,
- promote additional products and services and enhance overall customer experience,
- meet monthly/quarterly maintenance targets,
- liaise with suppliers/vendors,
- cold/warm calling potential customers from the companies database to offer the renewal service,
- own any onboarding process that requires setting up the business as a supplier for new customers,
- update and maintain crm system to ensure renewal records are correct and up to date,
essential skills required:
- be passionately customer-focused, and enable an excellent customer experience,
- 3 years experience in a sales/customer services/telesales role,
- experience in handling customer's objections and strong negotiation skills,
- high attention to detail, methodical and accurate,
- strong discipline in record-keeping,
- strong drive and ability to work on own initiative,
- strong time management skills,
- ability to work in a team environment, but also be self-directed, proactive, and action-oriented,
- excellent communication skills, verbal and written, at all levels,

- knowledge and previous experience using crm applications
