chepstow depot, np16 6ud

full time, permanent, 37.5 hours per week

salary up to £25,000 per annum, dependent on experience

please note this is not a fully remote role

you will be required to work in the chepstow office on a weekly basis

for more than 20 years bidfood has been a leading wholesaler in foodservice to customers in a wide range of sectors.

the hr services team is a support function providing day to day support to our bidfood employees, managers, and the wider people & sustainability team. as a hr assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring slas are met across all transactions and areas of our work.

about the role

your role will include processing transactions that support the full employee lifecycle from new starters and changes to terms and conditions through to er and leavers. you will be responsible for producing a range of formal letters, contracts and invites to a high standard and you will maintain employee files ensuring gdpr is adhered to.

you will manage multiple shared mailboxes using the categorisation function to organise and prioritise a high volume of emails, working together as a team of hr assistants.

you will be responsible for providing accurate process related advice on hr and benefits policies and procedures and inputting employee data into the bidfood hr systems for your specific depots and departments in your area.

you will build strong relationships with key stakeholders including internal senior management and external suppliers and utilise their platforms to share data.

you will get involved in ad hoc projects and can juggle these as and when they arise, in addition to your normal daily and weekly tasks.

about you

you will have a strong administration background in a fast paced, high volume environment and have the determination and resilience to manage the workload. you will have excellent communication skills and attention to detail and have the ability to identify and contribute to process improvements.

previous hr administration experience is desirable but not essential as this is a great opportunity for someone looking to start their career in hr.
