medical receptionist required for a busy, friendly medical practice in inverness for 37.5 hours per week
kingsmills medical practice is a training practice, delivering high quality patient care. we are situated close to the city centre.
our friendly team consists of 11 gp's, 3 nurses, 2 healthcare assistants, 1 advanced nurse practitioner, a pharmacy team, physiotherapist and 14 admin staff. some of the admin & nursing staff have been working at the practice for 30 years or more!
we are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, hardworking and organised person who has a friendly, welcoming manner, who will enjoy the challenge of working as part of a team in an ever changing environment.
the successful candidate must have exemplary communication skills, a pleasant, patient focused manner, and be able to work well and remain calm under pressure. you will need to deal sensitively with patients and observe strict confidentiality.
the role of the practice receptionist is varied and a flexible approach to workload is required. experience of working in general practice with docman and vision clinical systems preferred, but not essential as full training will be provided. good organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to deal with completing tasks, as well as having the ability to work as a team player or individually are required as essential skills for this post. receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and act as a focal point of communication between patients, doctors and other medical staff in a courteous, efficient and effective manner.
contracted hours of 37.5 hours per week (09.00 to 5.30 one hour lunch) with generous annual leave and public holidays, with the opportunity to join the nhs pension scheme.
the successful applicant will be required to work additional hours to cover periods of holiday and sick leave. salary dependant on experience.
