we are a leading installer of conservatories, orangeries, double glazing windows and doors throughout yorkshire.

we require a finance manager to join our high profile, top quality, fast moving and forward-thinking business. we are looking for a self-motivated and ambitious accountant with a high attention to detail to work alongside the board to manage the day-to-day finance processes; ensuring that timely and accurate information is available.

this finance manager role is a largely stand-alone, reporting direct to the md, but with support from a sister company for advice, assistance, and monthly reporting.

role responsibilities

full management of the day-to-day transactional accounting – including

daily bank reconciliations
purchase ledger and sales ledger
weekly cis
monthly payroll
paye / vat
job costings
preparation of kpis
cash flow management
assistance in the preparation of monthly mi and associated analysis
ad hoc projects and duties as required



required attributes

professional qualification desired, but at least aat qualified
at least 5 years’ experience in a finance role is required and at least 2 years at a similar level
experience of sage line 50 and sage payroll is desired
previous knowledge of cis would be advantageous
experience of using adminbase, or similar job-costing software is desirable
knowledge of the home improvement industry / construction would be advantageous;
a good working knowledge of microsoft packages with previous experience of working on excel and the ability to type accurately with good attention to detail.
the ability to demonstrate effective time management and prioritise tasks.
excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders.
a proactive approach to work with the ability to prioritise and manage own workload.
a highly motivated individual with a can-do approach to work and the ability to get the job done in the required timescale.
