adecco is currently assisting our local client recruiting for chem tech in opelika al. this job is a temporary to hire opportunity, with pay rate range of $17.00/hr  to $21.00/hr depending on experience.

adecco is seeking a chem tech who is open provides technical support to quality control laboratory by sampling and testing incoming materials.

shifts:

monday thru friday 1:00pm to 9:30pm

job duties:

provides technical support to quality control laboratory by sampling and/or testing incoming materials, in-process blends, and bulk products.  also performs lab support tasks as assigned.

this job is a key element for preventing incorrect materials from getting to the next stage of production or to the market.  as such, accuracy, precision, and attention to detail are essential.

candidates must meet the following requirements:

requires two years college with emphasis in chemistry or related sciences; or high school diploma or ged with 3 or more years’ experience working in a lab

computer skills are required. 

knowledge of system related mrp (material requirements planning) is preferred.

use of calculator, balances and hand-held laboratory sampling tools.

must be able to read and write english.
