pay rate: $30.00 - $35.00 hourly  doe 

duties
• carry out standard operating procedures involving complex laboratory techniques, calculations, materials measurement, operation of laboratory equipment and record keeping necessary to manufacture products, requiring scientific understanding of what they are working on.
• record keeping includes but is not limited to batch data records, notebooks, and work order documents.
• utilize specialized technical knowledge and skills to make detailed observations and analyze data to ensure within operating parameters.
• advise manager of factors that may affect quality, accuracy and usefulness of product.
• suggest options / ideas for corrective actions.
• complete production and quality analysis of reagents, components and finished products in accordance with the production schedule.
• maintain equipment, product inventories and related records as assigned. note variances on manufacturing documents; audit and evaluate process documents and propose revisions.
• actively participate in the identification of and implement manufacturing procedures intended to optimize existing processes and ensure achievement of regulatory requirements.
• actively participate in troubleshooting and variable identification for specific processes or activities as assigned.
• may research new methods or steps in a process and present findings and recommendations to the team, including developing new and revised standard operating procedures.
• complete, distribute and file records; prepare ad hoc reports as requested.
• may perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.
• this position largely interacts with equivalent levels of personnel in the manufacturing area.
• strong oral and written communication skills are required to identify problems and implement solutions in a team environment.
• the job encounters work situations of diverse scope and moderate complexity with identifiable factors.
• the incumbent normally receives minimal instructions on routine work once properly trained.

skills
good lab technique and attention to detail is an absolute must. familiarity with conjugation and polymer chemistry methods is a huge plus. familiarity with bead chemistry a plus.
• hands on molecular biology/biology lab experience knowledge
• excellent analytical skills, organizational skills, great attention to detail.
• experience manipulating data excel or similar program. familiarity with statistical analysis tools a benefit.
• excellent written and oral communication skills
• experience operating high-end analytical instrumentation beneficial
• molecular biology, biochemistry and /or nucleic acid chemistry experience is beneficial
• prior experience working in a clean room or in manufacturing is beneficial

education
bachelor's degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, or other related discipline, or the equivalent knowledge and experience.
