primary duties and responsibilities:

  • oversee receiving, maintenance, sanitation, and administrative functions of the back warehouse
  • manage staff/volunteers to ensure donations are unloaded quickly and efficiently and product is placed properly in the backroom prior to being priced and moved to the salesfloor.
  • engage and motivate all volunteers to ensure we are getting the most productivity out of them based off their abilities while working in the backroom.
  • communicate daily with the store manager, logistic coordinator and floor lead to ensure items are being moved to the salesfloor to support sales and future donations
  • ensure receiving area is clean and ready for next day’s donations.
  • assist with answering questions, clarifying policies, resolving disputes, and greeting donors in a warm and professional way.
  • demonstrate and train staff in outstanding service to customers, donors, volunteers, and others.
  • understand and communicate to all associates the key performance metrics for all restore operations and how they relate/contribute to positive customer experience and high-quality operations.
  • ensure all personnel understand and can effectively communicate the restore and the hfh mission to the public.
  • evaluate pricing to ensure appropriate turnover of the merchandise.
  • develop sufficient knowledge of merchandise and store procedures to serve as manager on duty (the primary “go-to” person for volunteers and customers).
  • cleanliness

  • ensure that all areas of the store, rest rooms and warehouse are clean and safe
  • supervise and facilitate that all associates are on board with overall store cleanliness.
