client is a large life insurance firm, are hiring for a reporting accountant. the office is based in birmingham and offers hybrid working.
day to day, you would be;
* involved in the production and analysis of high quality and timely statutory, regulatory, other industry and government bodies reports for life companies ad associated entities, including group reporting.
* supporting the deliveries of high quality and timely management information reporting of kpis for open and heritage business segments under ifrs.
* providing accountancy input into the development of new accounting business processes to ensure processes incorporate current legislation and reflect developments in industry standards where relevant.
required experience;
* qualified accountant with knowledge of finance operational and reporting processes.
* technical skills and knowledge of accounting and reporting processes in a financial services organisation (preferably in a life insurer)
* ifrs / solvency ii experience.
