job description

you will be required to complete a 1 week training, during this time you will be put with a buddy driver to learn your routes as well as given other safety training. once this is completed you will be added to a worker pool so that you can select more jobs around the times that suit you.

key accountabilities

to maintain a safe and competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and other traffic signs and giving due regard to other road users.

to have a daily check to ensure that your vehicle is in a roadworthy condition including a check of the lights, brakes, coolant, etc.-to report any faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays.

to maintain the internal and external condition of the vehicle together with the cleanliness of the vehicle.-to ensure sufficient quantities of fuel have been taken for the day's work.

to maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times.

to check all orders shown on the dropsheets and ensure all orders are loaded on the vehicle.

to collect goods returned for credit, mail, cheques or delivery bins and their safe return to the branch at times instructed by the branch management.

ensure damages/breakages are dealt with promptly and correctly with due regard to special procedures for hazchems.-to maintain a smart appearance at all times.-to help maintain good customer relations.-to be involved in other duties as may be defined from time to time by the management.
