Our client, a leader in the cosmetics industry, is looking to bring on an art director to their growing team!

salary/hourly rate:
$95k - $100k

position overview:
the art director will work hand-in-hand with the creative director to create an inspiring design with strategic understanding, capable of leading high-level, demanding, and complex projects. in order to be successful in this position, you must be passionate and inspirational with the energy to create award-winning work. you will be the driving force leading and engaging the design team.

responsibilities of the art director:
• work with the creative director on design through completion
• maintain packaging standards and help evolve visual systems as growth into new markets continues
• contribute ideas and original content for thought pieces, conferences, blogs, social media debates, and sharing information internally
• under the direction of the creative director, contribute to the development & preparation of proposals and pitches
• build client relationships
• provide inspiring guidance and feedback to the design team during projects
• work closely within the team managing designers across multiple platforms

qualifications of the art director:
• 2 - 3 years of experience as an art director in the cosmetics, beauty, or packaging industry
• ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• passionate and inspiring work
• excellent written and verbal communication skills

education requirements:
• bachelor's degree strongly bonuses
