  • pay: $90,000 – $130,000/year
  • shift/hours: monday – friday; 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

  • description:

  • work with site leadership and hr teams to implement a comprehensive people strategy in support of the business’s strategic goals.
  • assist in the implementation of human resources strategies, procedures, and processes to help build and sustain a high-performance organization.
  • respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • exhibit strong integrity and loyalty to corporate vision & mission while nurturing a performance enhancing culture with emphasis on safety and a productive team environment.
  • implement programs to maintain positive employee relations and to build relationships with local communities and business/educational institutions.
  • help support all people initiatives and practices including recruitment, talent, leadership development, diversity, performance management, organizational design, compensation, etc.
  • assist in the development of strategies to increase employee engagement, commitment, and safety.
  • lead and / or assist in the coordination of career fairs and special projects involving campus, military, diversity recruitment, etc.
  • in conjunction with the talent ceo, execute talent acquisition strategies, new hire on-boarding, on-site interview processes and local talent pipelines.
  • serve as an employee advocate, internal consultant, and business partner with management on human resources issues impacting the performance of the manufacturing operations and all support functions.
  • ensure appropriate and acceptable climate of labor relations in order to achieve operating goals. this includes involvement in grievance handling, thorough and objective investigations, and union and employee communications programs.
  • serves as a career counselor for employees and supervisors to foster career growth and development.
  • provide generalist field support to both manufacturing and salaried employees to ensure that administrative needs are met for hr services including: benefit open enrollment, compensation cycles, safety program administration, government requirements such as eeoc, osha, and vets reporting, other regulatory compliance, and overall employee relations policy administration.
  • participate in community activities to build relationships with community representatives and to continually promote the client as an employer of choice.
  • requirements:

  • experience in a manufacturing environment; implementing multiple hr functions and capabilities in order to quickly respond to business challenges
  • 5+ years of relevant and progressive human resources experience
  • bachelor’s degree in human resources
  • master's degree preferred
  • professional hr certification preferred
  • some experience and exposure to benefits administration, employee relations, and safety programs, is strongly preferred
  • should have strong analytical skills and have the ability to track and interpret data. previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
  • exposure to both unionized and non-unionized manufacturing environments is helpful
  • ability to provide guidance and conduct investigations of concerns and complaints; involve appropriate individuals, seek legal advice, when appropriate, and successfully resolve employee relations issues with credible, creative, and consistent solutions.
  • union experience strongly preferred
