seeking a professional benefits consultant to fulfill the responsibilities of customer relations/service and agent support for successful growth and continued success.
responsibilities and duties:
provide a high level of customer service for clients. responsible for expediting and resolving benefit inquiries and problems, processes employee and dependent eligibility information and data, reconciles employee benefit payroll deductions. receive phone calls from clients and processing customer service requests.
additional responsibilities and duties
work to identify and resolve client and employee billing and payment issues.
respond promptly to clients and employee inquiries.
secure information from the clients, employees, and other industry professionals with thoroughness and accuracy.
basic understanding of insurance benefits (medical, dental, vision, life) and 401(k) plans, health & life license a plus
minimum of two years’ experience in benefits administration required and 401(k) administration a plus
qualifications and skills
must be an energetic self-starter.
possess and display confidence and professionalism when communicating with clients and employees
proficient in microsoft office.
ability to articulate information in a clear and concise manner.
ability to deliver information in a courteous and thoughtful manner.
ability to learn processes and procedures quickly with training.
ability to use critical thinking to solve problems.
required qualifications
reliable consistent attendance.
advanced verbal communication and listening skills including but not limited to good grammar and speaking voice.
basic computer skills, including email, internet, microsoft word, microsoft excel
education and experience
experience using microsoft word and excel
customer service skills: 1 year required
