Administrator inquest and clinical claims - united kingdom, chesterfield, derbyshire

we are looking to recruit a part time temporary inquest and clinical claims administrator to work at a large organisation, based in the callow area of chesterfield.

the position will be initially for 3 months with the potential to be extended to 6 months and you will be required to work 3 full days = 22.5 hours, mon, wed and friday's.

purpose of the role

to assist the clinical claims and inquest coordinators in the day-to-day management of inquests and clinical claims.

this will include maintaining accurate and up to date records within datix, the disclosure of statements for inquest and claims; identifying the relevant records and clinicians and then liaising with the clinicians to ensure statements are provided within the deadlines.

general responsibilities:

* to provide comprehensive high level administrative support to the litigation and inquest co-ordinators in relation to the management of clinical negligence claims and inquests.

* to work flexibly to provide high level administrative support to the divisional quality governance teams as required in relation to the management of clinical negligence claims and inquests.

* provide assistance and support to staff attending inquest or other legal hearings by way of arranging pre-hearing meetings with the litigation and inquest co-ordinators and/or arranging meetings with trust solicitors and staff when required

* in the absence of the access to records co-ordinator to speak with members of the public regarding any access to records request by taking messages and liaising with the access to records team

* to work at a vdu for long periods of time, requiring prolonged concentration when reviewing and analysing documentation.

* to be regularly exposed to sensitive and emotive written material and photographs.

* obtaining records and delivering them to clinician(s) and potentially the carrying of files and records to and from court. attendance at court may be required off-site as required.

training on the companies it systems will be provided as well as an induction to the team.
