are you a domestic couple looking for a new live-in role?

we are looking for a live-in domestic couple (housekeeper & gardener) to look after a lovely 6-bedroom property located in wilmslow, cheshire (sk9), the full-time residence of the principals, with occasional visits from their grown-up children. the gardens have 5.5 acres.

this professional role is for an honest, reliable, and hardworking couple who enjoys the great outdoors. the family has a lovely dog, so being pet-friendly is a must. the family employs a pa and gardening contractors, so being a team player is required. no travelling will be required. at least one of you must be a driver.

working schedule: monday to friday 8am – 6pm (one hour lunch break), with weekends off. some occasional saturday mornings will be required from time to time.

the starting date is asap / up to one month notice acceptable;

main duties

cleaning, sweeping, hoovering, dusting
laundry, ironing, shoe cleaning
upkeeping floral displays
ensuring the home is pristine and welcoming
answer incoming calls, take deliveries, messages
welcome all guests with a positive experience
cleaning all areas of the kitchen, tidying after meals
organising the cupboards, fridge, pantries
assist with dinner parties and other events
wardrobe management and suitcase management
gardening & general property maintenance
taking out bins and some dyi jobs
grounds maintenance, leaf clearing, driveway raking, border tidying, sweeping
look after the dog / vet appoiments
oversee security of the estate and act as the first responder to alarms
arrange and oversee tradesmen
occasionally drive principals to/from airport/station/restaurant/etc
clean and generally look after cars, arrange repairs/servicing
maintain stock of logs for open fires, lay/light/clear when necessary

the minimum requirements to apply are:

good level of english
previous experience
at least one must be a confident driver
dbs check and references required prior to start

job benefits

the salary range is £70,000 to £75,000 gross pa joint doe. the provided accommodation consists of a self-contained chalet, with one bedroom, kitchen and sitting room. all bills will be covered by the principal. food is not included. the position comes with 28 days of paid holiday, including bank holidays. no dependents / no pets can be considered.
