we are assisting a company local to robinson township, pa in their search to fill a direct hire hr leave administrator.
principal responsibilities:
first point of contact for leave of absence administration.
has a deep understanding of fmla, ada and other applicable federal, state and local laws including keeping up to date on future changes.
communicates with employees regarding their responsibilities and expectations from the beginning of the leave to the end of the leave, including but not limited to documentation and notice requirements.
administrates other company time-off programs as assigned in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
creates and maintains accurate and compliant leave of absence tracking and recordkeeping.
maintains reasonable communication with employees and internal partners throughout the leave and as needed to facilitate a smooth and timely return to work.
responds in a timely manner to information requests from leave tpa, employees and internal partners in a professional manner and escalates correspondence when necessary and appropriate.
advises managers and employees on the interaction of leave laws with paid time off, workers compensation, short-term disability and long-term disability benefits.
preserves confidentiality of employee medical documentation and files.
facilitates other leave requests, which may include accommodation requests under ada and modified work schedules.
maintains an understanding of all company benefits to ensure employees understand the function of their benefits during a leave or disability event.
performs other related duties and special projects as required and assigned
participates and contributes to company safety program
qualifications:
education: bachelors degree in human resources preferred
experience: minimum 3-5 years of experience in similar role
license/certification: shrm-cp preferred
knowledge, skills and abilities:
proficient in microsoft office products especially excel
ability to support a variety of personalities and functions in addition to interacting with staff at all levels
experience with ceridian dayforce
expert written and verbal communication skills
ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure
ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and work independently in a deadline-oriented environment
superior customer service and high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
