we are currently recruiting for full-time and permanent transport coordinators covering the transport operations at hemel hempstead. the role is diverse, and you will be the primary contact for the team of next and agency drivers.

it is essential that you are a proactive, customer-focused individual as you will be in constant contact with drivers and the wider warehouse team of staff.

you will be actively co-ordinating drivers, ensuring everyone is allocated the correct route and vehicle, taking into consideration drivers' hours and the vehicle mileage and maintenance schedule. you will be despatching drivers with run sheets, manifests, and vehicle check sheets and debriefing drivers in accordance with company requirements.

as a transport coordinator at next, you will be responsible for filing vehicle check sheets and agency paperwork, inputting correct debrief data, and downloading tachograph information.

working closely with your team manager, you will highlight any areas of improvement such as unauthorised stops, fuel discrepancies, and turnaround times and pass on all holiday requests and driver queries in a timely fashion.
