responsibilities:
overview & scope of role:
reporting to the team leader/production manager, you will be working in a production environment with cnc vertical machining centre and lathes working on ceramic seals and bearings, whilst ensuring site safety standards are maintained.
essential duties & reponsibilities:
programming and setting cnc lathes prior to sintering
calculating shrinkage percentage to ensure components are correct after sintering.
inspect using micrometres and shadow graphs.
to escalate production issues to the production manager.
qualifications:
experience:
good all round engineering skills
cnc programming for fanuc controls would be an advantage
experience machine hard materials similar.
have a good understanding of manual machining. turning
knowledge in ceramic manufacturing (preferable)
working knowledge of health and safety and environmental legislation
skills:
good oral and written communication skills
good interpersonal skills, ability to maintain successful relationships with colleagues and team.
good analytical skills/ability to solve problems quickly.
ability to work fast-paced business production environment and make decisions under pressure.
education:
relevant engineering experience (time served apprenticeship, computer aided engineering qualification)
minimum requirement educated to gcse or relevant level standard.
