Events coordinator - united kingdom, buckingham, buckinghamshire

this childcare organisation is looking to recruit a full-time events coordinator on either a permanent basis or a 12 month contract, to manage the delivery of events and services as well as carrying out general administrative and secretarial duties. working on a 30 - 37.5 hour week basis - to suit the individual - you will be reporting to the company directors as well as working in tandem with other members of the team such as the logistics administrator and the hr manager, to deliver services. you must be able to work autonomously as well as maintain a collaborative team approach and there is an opportunity for the role to grow and for you to take over more of a leadership role once you are proficient. we need someone who is driven by providing a high level of service and consistent delivery. key responsibilities oversee all aspects of events, planning and management from conception to completion including; researching venues, accommodation, local child-friendly activities, entertainers, suppliers and workshops working with the hr manager to hire and secure required staffing for each event book domestic and international travel and accommodation managing all food and beverage requirements, including dietary needs of staff and children. responsibility for preparing the job boxes with all necessary paperwork and inserting documentation into the relevant folders and/or the digital equivalent of this planning multiple events at once planning and booking ahead for events and seeking group deals/discounts to enable financial savings and positive impact on budgets. the ideal candidate will have excellent it skills - including familiarity with apple mac, microsoft office & advanced knowledge of excel a confident telephone manner outstanding negotiation, organisational, and planning skills good organisational skills the ability to work under direction and on own initiative the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects at once a good memory a flexible, patient attitude and a good sense of humour clear, legible handwriting and strong communication skills if you are proactive, highly organised, with excellent attention to detail, and the ability to cope with a flexible workload then this could be the role for you. this can be offered on a 12 month contract or a permanent basis depeding on the applicant and is an office based role, working a 30 - 37.5 hour week depending on what hours suit, paying gbp25,000 - gbp28,000 pro rata
