we are seeking a motivated and dynamic maternity support worker to work alongside our maternity care assistants and midwives in providing high quality care to our women and their babies in all aspects of care throughout their postnatal stay. additionally as we continue on our journey towards meeting level 3 baby friendly status you will support the women in their choice of infant feeding to ensure that close and loving relationships are built in those first few hours and days of the babies meeting their families.
you will already have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
all new staff appointed to posts at the trust are subject to a probationary period. this will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the culture and working environment of the trust.
you’ll usually work 37.5 hours a week on a shift or rota system. this may include nights, bank holidays and weekends.
