overview:
my client has an opportunity for a non destructive evaluation (nde) level ii radiographer. in this role,you will perform radiographic testing (rt) in the field as well as in our fast-paced nde shop in accordance with industry and customer specifications. you will also be responsible for training nde level i helpers.
responsibilities:
conduct radiographic tests to ensure quality or detect defects
set up, utilize and calibrate nde test equipment
interpreting codes and specifications
clearly and legibly reports test results
use approved techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
professionally and effectively communicate with customers and third-party vendors on a daily basis
supervise and train nde level i helpers in the field to ensure that they are operating in a safe and effective manner
perform other job-related tasks as needed
qualifications:
high school diploma or equivalent required
valid driver’s license, or ability to obtain prior to beginning employment required
documented on the job (ojt) hours or a level ii certificate from a previous employer required
texas state radiation safety card required
ability to work day and night shifts which will rotate throughout the department required
