robert walters are delighted to be partnering with a highly successful business based in potters bar looking for a credit controller to join their large 'family feel' team. the role has opened up due to a couple of internal changes and moves leading to an upcoming vacancy in their credit control team. this is a permanent role and will be reporting into the credit/sales ledger manager, who is looking to bring in the right person. the successful candidate will be someone able to deal with high volumes, work closely in a team of 3, and have great empathetic skills. you will be expected to assist the rest of the team with credit control, query handling, and investigation/resolutions. duties for the credit controller: administration of new customer credit account requests. review and manage the aged debtor report primarily in respect of overdue accounts. daily debtors report highlighting overdue debt and the actions being taken to collect the debt. reconciliation of sales ledger accounts. collating and banking cheques. resolve unallocated cash balances on a timely basis. chasing invoices by phone or email to reduce the debtor balances and debtor days. setting up new standing order and renewing the existing ones annually/when necessary. resolving invoice and billings queries and referring internally, as required, for timely resolution. the position holder will be expected to build and maintaining good relationships with customers by understanding their operations and determining how best to ensure payment terms are met. supporting senior management with query/invoice/payment updates. building relationships with internal and external stakeholders. to ensure monthly cash and overdue debt kpis are achieved. to be considered successful, the ideal candidate must have: experience using excel previous credit control experience confident communication skills empathetic skills, teamwork, problem solving abilities b2c exposure this credit controller vacancy is based in potters bar and has a salary of gbp26,500 - gbp30,000 plus company specific benefits and a bonus. if you have the above experience and feel ready to take the next step in your career please apply or contact me at (url removed)
