your role and responsibilities
role purpose:
an operational support role whose responsibility spans the build, deployment and support for vodafone/kyndryl's and vodafone's customers supporting public & private cloud as well as traditional managed hosting, with a focus on identity and access management systems and processes. they will work with key stakeholders to ensure right first time build and delivery on time. document the management, shared and customer platforms implementation to a high standard and provide the right technical skills to enable the technical analysis and timely resolution for any service issues within agreed service level agreements. the senior identity and access management engineer will ensure that the complexities of the management/shared infrastructure are understood, and provide support to further enhance stability, making changes to the infrastructure using agreed business processes and best practice. they will be expected to contribute, review and approve new product and service releases. feed in to and drive internal service improvement processes and initiatives.
key accountabilities and decision ownership:
• delivery of 3rd line technical support during core hours and via on-call rota (24x7) for vodafone/ibm's core management infrastructure services.
• ensure build is completed right first time, meets requirements defined during the solution design phase.
• define and embed consistent build and operational processes to support on-going support activities, driving improvements.
• lead incident resolution to restore service in complex cross-technology environments. determining root cause.
• planning, assessment and implementation of change requests.
• work with and support the product development teams to ensure identity and access management requirements are clearly communicated and considered for new products and technologies. review all new releases prior to approval into service delivery

required technical and professional expertise
core competencies, knowledge and experience:
• extensive operations experience.
• experience of deploying, integrating and supporting enterprise scale, complex managed hosting or cloud solutions.
• ability to build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and influence their decision making.
• experience of identity and access management principals and how they interact with unix, windows and networking
must have technical / professional qualifications:
• demonstrate substantial practical skills in the majority of the below technologies whilst displaying the passion to develop new skills:
o cyberark
o active directory
o windows operating systems
o vmware technologies
o rsa token management
• understanding of the below technologies:
o unix scripting/powershell scripting.
o dns services ideally infoblox
o cisco ise / acs / tacacs
• ability to achieve sc clearance
• ability to achieve nppv3 clearance
preferred technical and professional experience
• experience of enterprise scale managed services
• demonstrable track record in identifying, driving and implementing continuous improvements.
