Bookkeeper/accounting clerk - united states, honolulu

we are seeking a bookkeeping/accounting clerk to work closely with our accounting clerk closely without accounting manager & chief financial officer. this bookkeeper/accounting clerk position is responsible for maintaining sound business operations by  processing daily financial activities, working on payroll, following up on invoices, resolving invoice discrepancies and communicating with vendors each day.

  • quickbooks: 3 years ( required)
  • microsoft office 3 years
  • payroll 3 years ( required)
  • managing the full cycle of accounting activities for the company
  • understanding of accounts payables ( ap)
  • processing the account payable
  • invoicing clients and customers
  • contact customers by  phone, by email or in person to explain billing adjustments
  • preparing bank statement
  • processing accounts receivable 
  • maintaining the payroll system
  • general familiarity with reconciliations
  • knowledge of payroll functions 
  • experience with payroll systems for 100 employees
  • experience with journal entry
  • payroll experience preferred
  • ability to multitask and communicate well with other.
  • creates and maintains new customer files 
  • prepares daily deposits
  • record payments received via ach, credit cards, check against customers open
  • invoices.
  • maintaining records and filing systems.
  • performing other duties as required.
