a fantastic opportunity for a takeaway assistant/runner at a full-time basis, to be part of the team of a 100-cover restaurant, based in marylebone, london. opso is a multi-awarded restaurant, offering a day and night dining experience and a creative environment in which all level service staff will enhance their skills and experience working as part of a team. the restaurant also runs two separate menus for delivery and take-away, with which you will be dealing, welcoming customers, taking orders and ensuring these are properly packaged and handed to the delivery drivers.

very good knowledge of english is needed.

previous experience in the hospitality industry is not essential.

responsibilities

inputting orders coming through the delivery platform tablets, through the phone or face to face
recommend menu options and up-sell when possible.
assembling orders, preparing drinks, and issuing condiments like sauces and dips.
packing and wrapping food.
accepting customer payments - by cash or card - and giving change.
giving out promotional items, like loyalty cards.
replenishing stock items like napkins and straws.
clearing trays, wiping down tables and emptying bins.
keeping all areas clean and tidy.

requirements

good command of english is a prerequisite.
must be polite, punctual, hard working and reliable.
good communication skills are preferred
