Mechanical engineer advanced - united states, santa clara

adecco is hiring immediately for advanced mechanical engineers with a local client in santa clara, ca. mechanical engineers perform essential duties with pay starting at $70.00/hour. in this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of custom mechanical tooling, fixturing, and associated processes to enable the assembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle.

requirements:

bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is required; master’s degree preferred

5 - 10 years of experience with mechanical engineering in a product development and manufacturing environment, semiconductor equipment industry preferred

experience in quartz, sic, o-rings materials selection, understanding of pyrometry in high temperature & vacuum/atm cvd semiconductor reactors

demonstrated conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines

knowledge of mechanical engineering design, heat transfer, should understand engineering drawings, gd&t/asme standards, materials & manufacturing processes, numerical methods, auto cad, tce, ug nx/inventor and analysis

good knowledge on materials – ferrous & non-ferrous metals and ceramics

knowledge of close loop control systems

knowledge in vacuum sciences is preferred
