Material handler i - united states, houston
the material handler/forklift operator is responsible for the moving and storage of finished goods and raw materials as well loading product per customer orders. will power wash tractors and provide assist in other parts of production as needed. this person will be reporting to the production supervisor and will also follow directions from production manager for daily operations. position will mainly entail, but not be limited to the following tasks:
• remove finished goods / raw materials from or to production lines and place in warehouse or production
• responsible for maintaining forklift equipment
• adheres to all work instructions, good manufacturing practices, and housekeeping procedures
• load / unload trailers
• power wash tractors as needed after leaving production floor to prepare for final inspection prior to shipping out.
• maintain clean and orderly warehouse
• responsible for the accuracy of all transactions and product scanning
• load finished goods for shipment to customers with industrial truck/material handling device
• responsible for repairing any damage units
• responsible for maintaining iso standards
• responsible for reporting safety issues to personnel with authority to initiate action
• performs other duties and/or completes training as required by supervisor.
requirements:
experience in the following elements required:
• must be at least 18 years or older
• have 1 year of previous assembler experience on a production floor
• must be able to read, write, and speak english
• high school diploma or ged required
• previous experience in a manufacturing operations environment preferred
• work involves physical demands typically found in a manufacturing environment, such as but not limited to prolonged standing, bending, lifting and/or moving materials
