i have a fantastic client in chicago loop in search of a practice development manager. the practice development manager is responsible for managing client development programs for several corporate areas and the litigation practice group to be assigned by the chief marketing officer. the practice development manager wears many hats and is responsible for staying on top of present and emerging trends in specific client industries, creating and implementing multi-faceted strategies to raise the profiles of the practices and attorneys, as well as collaborating with attorneys on business development plans. significant responsibility & autonomy will be afforded to candidates who demonstrate independent judgment, strategic and diplomatic thinking and the ability to function effectively at several levels.
the practice development manager may also provide daily oversight of the practice development coordinators (individual assignments vary), ensuring the timely completion of marketing-related activities. the practice development manager analyzes and resolves work issues daily under the supervision of the senior marketing and practice development manager. in this supervisory role, the practice development manager is accountable for the work and actions of the coordinators they oversee.
