Care assistant required nr2 - united kingdom, norwich, norfolk

seeking a carer and right hand person, in nr2

covid safety:

as i'm a vulnerable person and you are part of keeping me safe, i’m looking for someone who’s open to wearing a mask and regular testing, to ensure we’re all keeping each other safe. if you’re unsure and would like to discuss this, please let me know when applying? thank you.

the position

no experience within the care sector required, it's all about your attitude and approach! this would suit someone who values supporting me, in the ways i require, to enable me to live a better quality of life. this support may seem unconventional at times, due to my lifestyle, which keeps things interesting.

you will assist me in all areas of life, from personal care, cooking from scratch, home maintenance, assisting me to appointments/out, doing shopping and running errands, and being a positive influence in my life. much of what you will help me with is routine based and to help me manage my home, life and improve things, wherever possible.

your role will be to understand how i live my life and dovetail with me, to think ahead on my behalf as to what i need, in the way i need it, when i’m too unwell/non-cognate. this is to ensure i have everything needed set-up, for when i’m surviving alone. this will also include interesting jaunts to places of interest/hobbies, projects (crafts) and mini adventures to the countryside etc.

my time and energy is limited so i delegate wherever possible, with what time we have.

keys to this role are, being a great listener, foreseeing what’s going to be needed, juggling tasks and becoming efficient with time.

part of this position will include cooking from scratch, and would suit someone who has a good understanding of cooking practices and a genuine passion for nutrition and cooking from scratch. you will be preparing a range of healthy dishes, smoothies and snacks, with particular dietary needs in mind. you’ll be given instructions but i’m open to new ideas and trying different dishes.
