role

the post holder would be named support worker for an adult with learning disabilities. the successful applicant would be working as part of a team alongside another worker at all times offering 2:1 support. the role consists of assisting an adult with learning disabilities with tasks of daily living i.e. personal care, days out, assisting with medication, making meals and general tasks.

about adult requiring support

said adult has a diagnosis of a learning disability and autism and can at times show perceived challenging behaviour. they are very social and enjoy going out in their car daily and enjoy interaction with staff.

ideal candidate

the ideal candidate preferably has experience of support work previously however this is not essential as training will be provided. all applicants must hold a valid drivers licence.

hours & salary

part time with plenty of overtime available. salary is currently £11.20 p/h with likely increase.

pvg

the employer will pay for all costs in regards to pvg background check from disclosure scotland.
