join our language services team through adecco at a prestigious local children’s hospital right here in the milwaukee metro area. if you are fluent in spanish and english languages and you are passionate about serving your community, you can become the communication bridge between families with limited english proficiency and medical providers.

here’s a preview of the roles a spanish interpreter has:

interpreting from spanish to english and from english to spanish during a doctor’s visit, a visit to the emergency department or during a hospital for families with sick children that only speak spanish

documenting your interpretation in the hospital’s computer system

minimum availability 3 days a week, 8am to 5pm or after hours and weekends

perks of the job:

a very flexible schedule based on demand, so the number of hours a week would vary. usual working hours would be between monday and friday, 8am to 5pm, working occasional weekends. also after hours or weekends only.

we offer very competitive pay rates and you would charge 2 hours minimum

national certification for medical interpreters is covered by adecco after 6 months of working with us

what does it take to become an interpreter?

speak spanish and english fluently

have a high school diploma or a ged

have basic knowledge of medical terminology

have basic computer skills

if you have no experience interpreting or have not taken any training on interpretation, willingness to take a 40 hours medical interpretation course in person or online (cost not covered by adecco) will be required

have strong work ethics (reliable, good team player, respectful of our patients’ privacy)
