    job summary:
    responsibilities include, but are not limited to, conduct inspection and test per control plan, work instruction and procedures. this includes cleaning, changeover, equipment setup, and other functions as needed.

    key responsibilities:

    • follow established sops(standard operating procedures) and cgmps (general manufacturing practices)
    • setup packaging equipment as required
    • perform setups to standard using the mechanical worksheets assigned
    • perform equipment changeovers removing format parts, cleaning and staging in assigned locations.
    • operate packaging line machinery
    • perform pre-run documentation as required
    • perform in-line documentation as required
    • perform post run documentation as required
    • assist supervisors and process owners in the daily running of production
    • conduct inspections and test per control plan
    • maintain good housekeeping at all time at the respective working area
    • must be able to adapt to any job as per assigned by the superior
    • liaise with technician for machine setup and machine down/problem
    • assist on the job cross training of operators and ensure they follow the work instruction and understand the defect criteria as required
    • maintain accurate production data and communicate results as directed to packaging associates, process owners and production supervisor/manager
    • other duties as assigned

    process (e.g., distribution, packaging, fulfilling orders, responding to customer inquiries)

    • observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standard
    • adjust machine components and machine tension and pressure according to size or processing angle of product
    • remove finished packaged items from machine and separate rejected items
    • regulate machine flow, speed, or temperature
    • start machines by engaging controls
    • stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor, process owner, technician or designated lead person
    • monitor the production line, watching for problems such as pile-ups, jams or equipment threats such as adhesive build up, ink spills and loose / worn hardware
    • stock and sort product for packaging or filling machine operation, and replenish packaging supplies, such as labels, cartons, bottles, closures, shipper cartons, glue, ink and other related used packaging components
    • inspect and remove defective products and packaging materials
    • clean and remove damaged or otherwise inferior materials to prepare for equipment, room sanitization

    education/training
    • high school diploma or education equivalent

    experience:
    • 3 year minimum job related work experience

    specialized knowledge/skills
    • excellent reading and comprehension skills
    • demonstrate knowledge of basic math and computer skills
    • ability to work cooperatively with others
    • strong interpersonal and communication skills

    physical requirements (e.g., lifting, standing for extended periods, climbing)

    • ability to lift 30 lbs
    • repetitive movements with hands
    • standing for long periods of time
    • continuous walking, standing, bending
