intro:

a unique full-time / live-in nanny role to join a dynamic professional family caring for a lovely 2 year old boy. the nanny will be working in partnership with the parents, taking responsibility for the development and safety of the child, and fostering an environment for the child to thrive in. the family is looking for someone who could stay with the family for a long period and grow with them as a family.

duties and responsibilities

creation of a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment in which the child can develop and thrive, providing complete care for the child in the employer's home. administers one-on-one care and meets the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of the the child and provides personalised childcare for the child both inside (and outside) the home organizing and assisting child's activities including school, classes, playdates, indoor and outdoor play, educational activities and crafts accompanying the family on social activities, holidays, doctor visits, and other outings undertaking appropriate creative, education, social and outdoor activities with the child preparing meals for the child, child’s laundry and maintaining the cleanliness of equipment, toys and rooms used by the child light housework duties helping to ensure a clean and tidy home environment at all times; including helping with the preparation of meals, general upkeep and tidying of the house, laundry etc .

work hours & benefits

the position is based in belsize park, london, with a dedicated bedroom and bathroom.

the role is for 6 days a week.

the family undertakes monthly/bi-monthly travel to turkey (and other international locations) with ~1 week stays predominately with the mother and child in turkey split up over the year so it is important that the nanny must be able to travel with them when needed and be able to speak turkish. a dedicated bedroom and bathroom with also be provided in turkey. the nanny will also be expected to resume duties on family holidays to various international locations.

salary negotiable according to experience.

education and experience

high school diploma, ged or equivalent ability to speak intermediate level turkish or english; with at least one of them fluent 3 years + proven child care experience with references first aid training, and proficient knowledge of home safety further training in child care and development such as a formal nanny training program, early childhood classes and/or in-service training is preferred first aid and cpr certification and/or safety certification is preferred

enthusiastic, competent, attentive and self motivated good moral character and pleasant disposition outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities, and demonstrates sound judgement high eq accompanied with emotional maturity, patience and ability to remain calm under pressure strong verbal communication and listening skills. physically fit, energetic, agile and dexterous adaptable, reliable and trustworthy must be able to work in harmony with the employer and adhere to directions and requests must be a non-smoker
